So the hustle and bustle is over. You may still have a few days off or maybe you have returned to work. Have you taken time for yourself? Have you taken some time for self-care?
It is not necessarily the big things like a massage, or a play day ~ It is the time for the little acts of care:
- Drinking plenty of water (with lemon)
- Letting go of our addiction to coffee
- Taking time to journal
- Finding time for quiet
- Breathing deeply
- Letting go – of expectations, of fears, of “should’s”
For me the week between Christmas and the New Year is a time to check in, to slow down and take note of the year past. What went well? What is ready to be released? What is calling you for the New Year?
As I take the time to reflect, to bring closure to this year, I give myself the time to simply be quiet. I let the week between the two holidays be a time to really slow down. I let it be a time for mindful practice – a time to pay attention to my mind, body and soul. I let it be a time for collection in preparation for the transition towards my next expansion.
I invite you to take this time as mindful closure to the ‘09 year.
What are your dreams for 2010? What is calling you? Where is your heart leading?
Let me know how your transition goes… Riding horses taught me that riding is one transition after another.. it is the same with life.. and the best transitions are the one’s that we ride into and not struggle with..
To an amazing year of unfoldment!
