2010 Manifesto

Ok, so you have made a vision board. I am sure you know about a vision board – creating a visual representation for what you want in the New Year. Mine usually has 7 categories: spiritual, work, play, financial, health/physical, relationships, and mental (or what I want to study). These days I create a vision journal. It is more portable. I enjoy journaling, reviewing, celebrating and adding to the book as the year goes on.
In addition to my journal, I also create my manifesto for the year. It is my declaration of my intentions and commitments to me. Resolutions seldom work. First, the word “resolve” is about determination and will. Both have a place in the whole picture of motivation, however when used as the only form of motivation they do not have the long lasting transformational qualities necessary for lasting change.
The manifesto highlights my positive intentions and provides a GPS system for staying on track. Once created, I put several copies around my office, home and car providing me with opportunities to reaffirm my original intention.
Here is part of my personal manifesto for 2010
- I acknowledge Source/God, first in all I do
- I begin each day in prayer, meditation and affirmation
- I give thanks and practice forgiveness daily
- I continue to clarify my passion and purpose
- I take inspired action towards my dreams
- I develop and nurture relationships that support my wellbeing
- I treat my body as a temple – tending to its physical and nutritional needs
- I give myself permission to play and engage my creativity
- I give myself permission to make mistakes and learn
- I ask for support in areas I need help with
- I develop a new relationship with money – learning, asking, discovering
- I allow, let and receive that which is for my highest good –
- I say YES to life – fully, completely and with no withhold!
- I treat myself with absolute respect and positive regard.
- I say YES to being a powerful, positive, sassy, divinely feminine cowgirl!
Now it is your turn. Take this week to draft, refine and write your manifesto for this year…..
Let this be the year that you allow your sassy inner cowgirl to shine…
What’s holding you back?
I look forward to witnessing your sassy self! I’d love to see your manifesto –
In the mean time,
Happy Trails

Fabulous!! I think I’ll do a personal manifesto this week, too. I love the idea of a portable vision journal. I did something similar a few years ago and was just thinking about it. Going to do a new one.
