Cranky?

I don’t know about you, but the heat can make me cranky! Yes, I am talking about the outside temperature, but I am also talking about the self-generated kind (and no, not what comes with menopause.)

I am thinking more along the lines of reacting emotionally to the play of life. I know that I have written off the news, television and a great number of sites on the internet. Why – you ask?

Everywhere I turn – Facebook, Twitter, the news in all forms – I find myself witnessing anxiety, fear, frustration, hate, rages, murder, terrorism and highly charged emotions. Collectively there seems to be reactivity rather than conscious, deliberate action towards life affirming experiences.

Maybe we have had to come to the edge of sanity before “we” collectively say this is enough. Enough of the unleashed ego showing up as divisive politics, violent statements of belief and exclusionary tactics.

How far do we have to go before sanity is restored?

We are off track due to fear. Behind the anxiety, rage, fury and self-righteous acts is fear. I love the quote in Dune – “fear is the little mind killer.”

In my mind this whole state of fear comes down to a split belief; a belief in both good and evil. The problem with the belief in evil is that there is no hell somewhere out there. There is no guy running around in a red suit with a pitchfork in some flaming underground world. It is an allegory. You know… a symbolic representation of what we experience when we focus on ill-will towards another; or when our intentions are self-serving, greedy, hurtful, narcissistic, revengeful or any other life-denying expression.

The word e v i l is live spelled backwards.

We are all living backwards when we fall under the fear spell. In the state of fear, we react rather than consciously choose life affirming action.

Instead of reactivity how about we begin to collectively affirm:

There is Good in the world. Divine Intelligence is at work in the hearts and minds of our elected officials. They now choose to do the right thing for all of our collective community and our world. No matter what has happened in the past, we forgive and let go. The Infinite Healing Presence flows through each and every heart beginning with myself, my family, my community, my country and my world. I know that Divine Love saturates each and every member of the collective community and Divine love dissolves everything unlike Itself. Any “in-flamed” thinking is now soothed and removed. Divine Justice and Right Action is now at play in my world. I let go and give thanks for all is in Divine Right Order and Peace.

On the Divine Trail of Life,

Hey thank you for the reminder of the word e-v-i-l . I been wondering about my dyslexia lately but there are advantages to looking at things through a different lens.

It is good that we have community to stay in tune with what we are all going through and feeling, it’s not so different.

    Enjoy the summer!!
    Kathy
